Suitcase Stories at Chapter 1 Gallery
I missed the awesome Suitcase Stories event but could not resist putting my swing on this cute little case and raising money for the cause. (Koru Care Christchurch). More images in gallery below.

The luggage label sticker on this case inspired me. It is for the Inter-Islander journey between Christchurch and Wellington. The Rangatira was one of the last ships to do this route.

Wildflower Communication Revisted
A collection of sculptures revisiting an installation I had in M2 Gallery Houston in 2010. Designed to wall hang (1 keyhole screw and 1 small stabilising nail).
The flower represent the Forget-me-not Myositis Langii, last recorded in the South Island of NZ in 1912. It is officially extinct!

This old speaker is pretty rustic and damaged but these perfectly imperfect flowers will shout out their message any way they can. This piece can be rather dramatic with colour changing LEDs.

When researching for my piece ‘Missed Call’ I realised that many species have become extinct without good records of them. There might be a faded photo or a brittle or mouldy dried specimen. I imagine humans having progressed to have the foresight to make records but not the impetus to save the species in the first place!

Wall hangs on one keyhole fixing
This is the 6th in a series of 6 wall-hung floral pieces in Tiffany technique. These are best indoors and I may make similar in the future with a maximum of 400mm diameter. If you want larger - look at my aluminium and glass pieces.
