Everything here is handmade and a one-off.
Most of my works are sculptural. They often start with reclaimed timber and the glass brings the magic!
Most of my works contain some reclaimed materials. The glass will be a mixture of new and recovered glass. The normal characteristics of stained glass include indents, bubbles, roller marks and colour and texture variations. These add to the beauty and make the refracted images created even more intriguing.
I tend to do unique and different things with my materials. I have spent a lot of time and energy ensuring the final product will stand the test of time. Please note that glass is fragile (can break), the solder lines contain lead (keep away from very young children and wash your hands after handling). The glass can be wiped clean and a car polish like carnuba wax can be used to polish it up if necessary. The timber has been rubbed with a mix of bees wax and oil. Over time it could benefit from another similar rub, especially if it gets a lot of sun.
Also see listings under Lams & Lightboxes for lit sculptures.
Some of these items listed are in IOStudio and some are in Chaper1 Gallery who represents me in Christchurch or Red Gallery’s online shop. Please contact me if you have trouble arranging to view and purchase from them and I will assist.

I see each of these as a lit sculpture. I also believe they all look just as good unlit!

I started this series in 2025. They were my musings about the difficulty of getting on to the property ladder.
The deep porch and second story reminds me of the house we had in Texas. I imagine sipping iced tea on the porch.
