Everything here is handmade and a one-off.

Most of my works contain some reclaimed materials. The glass will be a mixture of new and recovered glass. The normal characteristics of stained glass include indents, bubbles, roller marks and colour and texture variations. These add to the beauty and make the refracted images created even more intriguing.

I tend to do unique and different things with my materials. I have spent a lot of time and energy ensuring the final product will stand the test of time. Please note that glass is fragile (can break), the solder lines contain lead (keep away from very young children and wash your hands after handling). The glass can be wiped clean and a car polish like carnuba wax can be used to polish it up if necessary. The timber has been rubbed with a mix of bees wax and oil. Over time it could benefit from another similar rub, especially if it gets a lot of sun.

This is a little different. The panel is inspired by my tulip field series of light boxes. I made the totara block so it can wall hang. Needs 2 screws. It is not very heavy. A second totara block can be used when it is sitting on a horizontal surface.

It is stunning lit or unlit.  Can hang from a solid beam or sit on the floor or a surface. Heavy.

This lit sculpture likes to hang out in Apes & Apples the awesome bespoke hat making and restoring shop  at 123 Bridge St Nelson. If you are interested in it please DM me and I will let you know where it is. I can arrange for more images to be sent or for a viewing at my studio.

As I am moving away from battery bowered boxes this item is reduced to clear. keep using batteries or just pop in somewhere it gets natural light and let the refractions sing!

This is in 3 parts - the lamp and bulb, the timber base and the glass shade.  The clear glass is reclaimed and purchased from a demolition yard as is the mahogany. The opposite side is semi-opaque and a very pale pink. It makes a stunning sculptural piece when lit or unlit.

This piece can stand alone or be hung on a wall. Sitting alone would be on a long side due to the remote control receiver. The sensor and cord are easily unplugged if you wish to leave it largely unlit. Could be adapted to wall hang horizontally as well.

It is stunning lit or unlit and will throw shadows and refractions in natural and electric light.

This is a very simple piece that just lets the blue glass sing! The marine ply has come up beautifully with a bees wax and oil finish.

As I am moving away from these type of LED, this item is reduced to clear.

This piece can stand alone or be hung on a wall. Sitting alone would be on a long side due to the remote control receiver. Could be adapted to wall hang horizontally as well.

It is stunning lit or unlit and will throw shadows and refractions in natural and electric light.

This is a very simple tower of greens of different hues and textures.  The led controller can be switched to cool or warm light but the nature of the green glass means the resulting light will always be warm. The controller also allows for all sorts of flashing which is so unnecessary but maybe someone will like that???

The mahogany has come up beautifully with a bees wax and oil finish.

As I am moving away from these type of LED, this item is reduced to clear.

This table lamp  was rather underwhelming with a white plastic disc on top.  I had a piece of old oak shelving which I hand cut into a ring to hold a bespoke stained-glass panel. The cut out of oak has been attached to the base. The oak has been rubbed in a bees’ wax and oil finish.
